You can sign up to the Hyperice class through the Digme At Home platform. I don’t often wax lyrical about tech, but this is nothing short of essential. And also for longer term issues that I’ve been annoying everybody by complaining about for years, such as sciatica. It’s so easy to use, and I immediately felt the benefits from it – it’s great straight after a training session, and also the day after a run if you’re suffering from DOMS. My kids definitely enjoyed pummelling my butt with it, which was actually very useful.Īnd over on Digme, there’s a whole bunch of practical (and short!) classes to help you make the most of your new Hypervolt, including a brilliant warm up specifically for runners, and a longer cool down, to ensure you’re focusing on all the right muscles and recover more effectively – basically making sure you run better on the next run, which in turn makes you a better runner all round. It delivers up to 3200 percussions a minute via its five changeable heads, and feels lovely to hold, too, with a smashing tactile handle. The Hypervolt is pretty quiet in use, utterly painless, and fairly light for a massage gun. You simply charge it up, turn it on, and find the speed you prefer. And with calf niggles, and ongoing sciatica in my glutes and down into my hamstrings, this was nothing short of joyful to use. I always find that a foam roller, while good (if I remember to use it – ahem), doesn’t quite get to the parts I need it to. A massage gun might seem like a luxury, but the rewards you get from this are immediate and long-lasting, so it genuinely feels worth its weight. With consistent use, the joints become more flexible and less prone to strains. Improves range of motion and flexibility. The Hypervolt works deep on the muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints, all of which work together to aid mobility. Pain lessens when the myofascial is released. Reduces muscle stiffness and soreness. The percussions from the Hypervolt forces the myofascia (the connective tissue throughout the body that support the muscles and bones) to relax. The result is speedy recovery, improved range of motion, pain relief and relieving muscle fatigue and soreness. The vibrations from the massage help improve blood and lymph circulation around the body, which helps produce more oxygen and nutrients into the muscles. It enhances muscle performance. Percussion therapy – for that’s what this is – helps improve muscle contraction, which results in lengthening and strengthening the muscles and fascial tissues. There are three speed settings, five interchangeable heads, a pressure sensor, and once you’ve charged it, it’s good for three hours. It also has a high-torque 90W motor that’s pretty quiet, all things considered. Your investment gets you a super slinky massage gun in brushed chrome, with a lovely tactile handle. So if you fancy a Hypervolt, but aren’t quite sure how to use it best, this is definitely your best first step.īut on to the Hypervolt itself. Each session is between 4 and 24 minutes long, and targets different muscle groups in line with different fitness activities. They have hunkered down with Hyperice to create a Recover with Hyperice class on demand, focusing on muscle activation, maintenance and recovery. Digme Fitness is a boutique fitness brand offering online classes on its Digme At Home Platform. It’s now part of a brand new partnership with Digme Fitness.
